Description
Rainbow Linen
Why use a linen thread in a needlepoint or embroidery design? For the texture (slightly nubby) and look (natural). It makes stitched objects like rocks, dirt, trees, foliage, corn on the cob, and clothing look realistic. Ideal on 18-mesh needlepoint canvas, but you can also combine strands for larger mesh counts. In cross stitch, use it on 14-count Aida. Stitch with shorter lengths to keep the thread from becoming too abraded from repeated passes through the ground material.

Tips
From Needlepoint Teacher: “This is a fine linen thread which can be strand in the needle to fit any stitch or canvas size you wish. (Not suitable for very fine petit point.) It is very strong can comes in a wide range of colors. You may want to use a smaller length of thread in the needle so the thread will not become dull before you have finished the length when stitching. This thread is by Rainbow Gallery. Uses: Rocks, clothes, tree trunks, fields, dirt, mountains, sand and samplers.”
