Does it come from baby alpacas?
Not necessarily. “Baby Alpaca” refers to where the material comes from on an alpaca, such as the softer areas like chest or neck. However, alpaca fleece can get coarser as the animal ages, so “baby alpaca” often does come from younger ones.
Is it softer than wool?
Yes, alpaca fibers are softer than wool due to the structure and content.
