Petite Very Velvet
This is the thinner version of Very Velvet, ideal for 18-mesh needlepoint canvas, and suitable for cross stitching on 11-count Aida. Any area of a design stitched in Petite Very Velvet will have a rich, dense, plush texture that mimics the look of real velvet fabric. The shaded color range goes an additional step to give that velvet texture the extra visual interest of color fading, color bolding, or color shading in one thread. Use it for stitching any motif that is velvet in real life, or has a velvety feel in real life, and would benefit from color variations.

Tips for needlepoint and cross stitch
- Ideal for 18-mesh needlepoint canvas and 11-count cross stitch Aida fabric
- Keep your tension moderate to avoid crushing or flattening the thread
- Use shorter lengths (easier to control, reduces friction, and keeps the thread looking its best)
- Use a tapestry or chenille needle large enough to slip through the canvas easily without scraping or stripping the velvet pile
- A needle threader can help guide the fuzzy end through the needle eye
- The fibers can occasionally shed or leave residue; using a slightly larger needle and shorter strands helps minimize this
- Test colors on a scrap of canvas to check for color bleeding
